Welcome

Welcome to the blog offered by the North American Institute of NeuroTherapy. We are currently offering:
**One-on-one therapy with individual clients via ZOOM and Skype
**Certification via distance learning to therapeutic professionals and people from other disciplines in use of this modern, neurologically focused mental training approach.

While our more extensive website is under construction, we hope you enjoy this more relaxed look at the future of therapy. The current articles being offered are less technically-focused and written more to help people with ideas, perspectives and creative elements to help people thrive through this current world-wide health crisis we are living through.

This is a modern form of Brain Training that takes practises like Mindfullness Meditation to a much higher level, making people their own therapists. To use a counter-intuitive metaphor, to understand this method think of "Mindfullness Meditation on steroids".It kicks up several notches what people experience in Mindfullness trainings. They learn to actively train their brains. It is a natural alternative to use of neurological medications for helping with stress and emotion. It doesn't require biofeedback machinery. It offers important things that Mindfullness and biofeedback trainings often lack.

**One-on-one guidance in training the brain to access and benefit from that therapeutic state of mind. What is the state of mind? It is one of resting the poor, overworked left hemisphere and shifting the brain into the more instinctual, intuitive right hemisphere. It is one of extreme relaxation. As fear is at the basis of all our psychological vulnerabilities and plays into our physical problems it is a state of mind that actually diminishes the "physiology of emotion" making the training a full psychotherapeutic model.

**It puts knowledge about the mind/body connection and tools for a healthier body in people's hands and teaches them thoroughly how to train their brains and nervous systems (required for long term management of symptoms). Long term benefit is much more of a reality than the more passive approaches often offered in Mindfullness trainings which miss the critical importance of answering the often unstated questions: "How am I going to get the changes in my life desired from this practice?" and "What goes on in my brain and body with this approach that actually brings about those changes?"

Those certifying in this method, NeuroTherapy Training, are more teacher/coaches but on a neurological level. It is an excellent method for practicing mental health practitioners and those who work therapeutically with the body.
